Solarisation Covers
The purpose of using solarisation film is to clean the soil from pests.
With solarisation film, the soil is heated by solar energy and the resulting high heat is used to clean the soil from soil-borne diseases such as nematodes and weeds.
Solarisation film is produced as single layer 20-30 micron thick transparent film and 1.000 m2 of it costs between 19 kg and 30 kg depending on the film thickness.
Solarisation is carried out for maximum heating of the soil to a depth of at least 40 cm.
The following recommendations should be considered when using solarisation films.
- Solarisation is the process where the temperature is highest and sunlight
should be done during the peak months - The area where solarisation will be applied should be empty, smooth and clean.
- In order for the heat to reach the depths, the soil to be solarised should be saturated with water and kept constantly moist.
- The duration of solarisation application is between 4-6 weeks.
Heat Curtain
Heat Screen (Over Wire) Film is used inside the greenhouse to reduce heat loss in greenhouses and to reduce the dripping of water droplets condensed on the greenhouse cover on the plants.
It has a strong and flexible structure thanks to its thin, transparent and high mechanical properties.
Heat Curtain film is generally produced in single layer 30 micron thickness and 1.000 m2 weighs 29-32 kg.
Mulch Film
Mulch films are produced in single layer 20-30-40-50 micron thicknesses with a lifespan of up to 24 months for covering the specially prepared soil and 1.000 m2 is between 20 kg and 50 kg depending on the film thickness.
With the use of mulch film, the development of weeds is prevented.
Drying of the soil is prevented.
Water evaporation from the soil surface is prevented.
Soil temperature is maintained.
In plants close to the ground, contamination of fruits, rain-soil, etc. is prevented.
As mulch film, colours such as black, white, brown, green are used for different purposes.
Black coloured mulch films are the most preferred due to their high performance in weed control.
White colour is used to keep the soil cool, especially in very hot regions, while specially developed brown and green colours are used when high soil temperature is required along with weed control.
Apart from these, red and blue coloured mulch films are used less frequently for special applications due to their effects on plant growth.
Silage Cover
The feed storage method based on the principle of storing green and water-rich feeds without losing their water and nutritional values by souring them with the help of milk acid bacteria in an airless environment is called silage.
In addition to different ensiling techniques for silage, silage films specially produced for this purpose are also used.
They are produced in Black-White, Black-Green and Black-Black colours, with single layer thickness between 100 and 200 microns and with UV protection for one or two years.
Irrigation Hose
Polyethylene irrigation hoses have a strong and flexible structure with high mechanical properties.
They are produced in the range of 6-50 cm in transparent, yellow or black colours and with UV additives upon request.
